sir, i finished my 12th in 2020 and im a jee aspirant , in 2020 i was not able to apply for jee and i did it in 2021 where there was no result and the same happened in 2022, i didnt qualify jee neither times. So, if i give jee in 2023 is it possible to give advanced as i didnt appear for it anytime

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 20th Jul, 2022

Hi

No, you won't be eligible for jee advanced 2023, it doesn't matter even if you have never appeared before for JEE advanced  .

This is because,

One has a total of two attempts for JEE advanced over two consecutive years starting from the year of appearing for 12th board examination i. e as per , eligibility criteria one is eligible for JEE advanced examination only in the year in which he or she appears for 12th board examination and the next year following it.

So, with 12 th appearing year as 2020

  • you were eligible for jee advanced 2020 and

  • eligible for jee advanced 2021 only. Thus, not eligible for JEE advanced 2023

You can check detailed eligibility criteria of JEE advanced by visiting our page the link for the same page is provided below

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-advanced-eligibility-criteria

If I tell you about Jee main then,

One can give JEE Mains entrance examination for a maximum of 3 consecutive years starting from the year of passing 12th board examination.

Now, your 12th passing year is 2020

So, you

  • were eligible for jee main 2020

  • eligible jee main 2021

  • eligible jee main 2022 as well .

Thus not eligible for even jee main 2023

i gave neet 2 times ....but now i want to give jee 2023 ...how can i apply for it?? Im pcb student!

Sevit Kar 19th Jul, 2022

Hello,

As you are a NEET aspirant and you also mentioned you are PCB student so let me tell you that you are not eligible for giving jee mains because Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics are the compulsory subjects which are required in 11th and 12th to be eligible for jee mains.

So, i would suggest you to keep any other option as a backup as you have not taken Mathematics in your 11th and 12th.

if mass of protons is reduced by 2 times and mass of neutrons is increased by 4 times then what is the mass number of carbon

theproudlion 17th Jun, 2022

Hi aspirant

Total Mass ( Mass no.) = Total no. of protons + Total no. of neutrons (as the mass of electron is negligible hence not taken into consideration).

Now carbon has 6 neutrons and protons.

if the mass of protons is reduced by 2 times, that means no. of protons become 6/2 = 3

if the mass of neutrons is increased by 4 times, that means no. of neutrons become 6 x 4 = 24

hence the new mass no. will be 3 + 24 = 27
