TNEA
Hi Thara,
TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission) is a state level entrance test for taking admission in various colleges in Tamil Nadu. It provides admission in Under Graduate programs for Bachelor of Engineering and Bachelor of Technology (BE/B.Tech).
It is conducted once every year, in an online mode. The eligibility criteria is to pass class 12th with minimum of 45 % and relaxation is provided for OBC/SC/ST of 5%. It also provides relaxation on the basis of sports quota.
As you have mentioned, you did a mistake of filling wrong paper. I suggest you to wait for the correction form, however most of these forms do not allow change in the applied paper and are made for only correction in documents and personal details. I suggest you to contact their helpline by visiting the website and they will guide you for the issue . Most probably you need to fill the form of other examination that you mistaken while selecting by paying applicable fees of that examination.
I hope it helps.
Thank you!

Hello there,
Anyone who have completed thier X, XI, XII on any reputed institutions outise Tamil Nadu can still apply for TNEA counselling. On obtaining a valid cutoff, you may be offered seats in Government quota as a student of TamilNadu gets. All you should provide is a proper Nativity certificate of yours. If you still belong to TN, you can provide your TC upon certificate verification process and it tells them about your school.
To calculate your cutoff for TNEA follow the link:
https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/tnea-cutoff This will help, Thanks.
Hello
So as you have mentioned your TNEA cut off is 195 so your predicted rank would be nearly 1.2k - 1.3k. Please note that this rank is not exact but it's only a prediction based on previous year trends. This is a good rank and yes you can get a seat in MIT. If we see previous few years cutoff for B.Tech in aeronautical engineering for MIT Chennai it was nearly opening at ~189 cutoff marks and closing at ~199 cutoff score. And hence you have chances to get a seat in your preferred branch.
Since you are OC student, the last year cutoff for OC was ~ 3k. You can claim reservation of 31% of seats through TNEA .

Hope this helps
Hello Aspirant,
I hope you are doing well.
According to the requirements for admission to the BTech programme applicants must have received a minimum proportion of marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics in their 10+2 exams. So, yes! You can enrol in the BTech if you have biology knowledge, but you must take an entrance exam to enrol in any engineering course. The engineering entrance exams now require three subjects, including mathematics, physics, and chemistry. You must therefore pass the entrance mathematics exam because it is required for all engineering programmes.
Hope this was helpful. you have a wonderful day!
Hey student,
YES, PCB students can also apply for BE in Biomedical Engineering. The criteria regarding stream in class 12 is : The candidate must pass class 12 (or equivalent) with Physics , Chemistry and Maths/Biology. Every course requires Mathematics.
