Sir,Im a transgender person I edited my basic details 2times ...according to the new trans policy Need to change gender as trans then only to male /female I need to edit one more time how Can I do that Is there any way to do

ojaswiyolo Student Expert 24th Sep, 2020

Hey Arjun'

You need to mention the name of the form in which you want to change your basic details. In most of the forms they have provided an option as transgender at the time of  form filling but if they did not or if you have ticked some other catehory by mistake then it's not a problem as you can sort it out at the time of counselling.

I hope I got your question right but if I did not then please mention the name of the form in the comment section and I will look into how to do corrections in that respective form.

will NET SET no longer be recognised according to the new education policy

Aditi amrendra Student Expert 15th Sep, 2020
Hello,

There is absolutely no announcement regarding that. You will have to understand that the National Education Policy2020 (NEP 2020), which was approved by the Union Cabinet of India on 29 July 2020, outlines the vision of India's new education system. The new policy has replaced the previous National Policy on Education, 1986.
However, NEP will not be implemented immediately.
The government has set up a target of 2040 to implement the entire NEP policy.
The government would till then slowly implement the policy key points one by one.
So, don't think.about what will happen in future, whatever happens will be same for everyone.

I hope this helps.

Sreeja Siva 11th Sep, 2020

Hi,

To become a lecturer in colleges and universities candidates should possess a post-graduation or doctorate degree in concerned subject from a recognized university. Apart from this, candidates should also clear UGC NET exam. B.Ed is not mandatory for applying for college lecturer post.  However you need B.Ed for teaching post in  schools . All the best.

are Mumbai colleges no longer be affiliated to Mumbai University and become a self autonomous heis in the long run according to the new education policy

Anurag Khanna 11th Sep, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

Few days earlier UGC issued a statement which states that no university can grant affiliation to more than 300 colleges if they do so a penalty will be imposed on them and other strict actions would be taken. So not only in Mumbai but even in the whole country New Education Policy 2020 has been implemented so the Maharashtra college will face the same changes which are to be faced by other Institutes at their respective location. I am enlisting down some keyword of NEP 2020 for higher educational institutions :-

  • From now there will be only governing body for all the higher educational institutions by the Higher Education Commission of India
  • Fees of all colleges irrespective of their ownership, will be disclosed and make transparent.
  • Now in three to four year Undergraduate programs candidate will have multiple exit points means if he is not satisfied with the program he joined then he can leave that but he will get a certificate of that and certificate status like diploma, certificate, degree qualifications will depend on the period when you leave the course.
  • A proposal has been raised for "Fee fixation", let us see what happens to it.

I have mentioned some Important key points of NEP 2020, if you want all these in details then refer to the link given below :-

https://www.google.com/amp/s/news.careers360.com/nep-2020-what-does-it-say-about-schools-and-universities/amp

I hope this information helps you.

Good Luck!!

please tell me how will a student do a major in sociology if he has taken other science n commerce subjects too according to the new education policy

Akash kumar 8th Sep, 2020

Hey there!

According to the new education policy you won't be constrained with the choice of subjects in the specific domain. For example, if you want to study economics, geography or physics together you can do so. You can take up Sociology as one of your subjects in school along with any other subject that you intend to take from the commerce or science domain, there won't be any constraint on that. You can choose major or minor subjects as per your choice.

As NEP is still in the early phases more clarity will be there when it will be implemented from 2023 maybe.

as according to the new education policy degree college students have options of entry and exit wont there be lack of discipline and responsibility amongst them

Sonali Sahu Student Expert 8th Sep, 2020

hello,

There will be issue. when there is positive side to thing there will be negative side too. But the benefit will be when a candidate has unavoidable situations and leave study in middle, they lose the degree which doesn't makes them eligible for higher studies until and unless they complete it. which means have to repeat all over again.

for every wrong side, there will be some solution as career will be gone who will do negative works. it would be better to see the positive side and do the best for career.

for sure, everyone  wants to prosper in life in their interested field of work.

Hope it helps!

will there be no different streams like arts commerce and science n will there be no majors in a particular subject eg sociology according to the new education policy

Shreya shrestha 7th Sep, 2020

Hello dear, according to to new education policy there is a change in an undergraduate program. There will be four year multidisciplinary bachelor's i.e under the your year programme proposed student can exit after one year with a certificate, after two years with a diploma and after the three years with q bachelor's degree. Four year bachelor's programmes will include a certain amount of research work and the student will get deeper knowledge in the subject he or she decides to major in. The policy also says that there will be no rigid separation between arts, commerce and science streams. So you can choose history or physics at the same time in class 11 and 12. I hope you got the answer.
