“Aeronautical” is where you study the various forces that act on an air borne vehicle in the Earth’s atmosphere. Also do note the point that “Nautical” is a term used to measure the speed of wind. So Aeronautical deals with various forces in detail which act on a vehicle which is airborne. Mostly you can see that only three dimensional forces act on an aeroplane.
