Hi I want to go for Welignker Institute of Management my 10 percentage is 77.40 and my 12 percentage is 81.92 in I graduated got a 56 in BA in Tourism Studies and have work experience 2 years with Taj Hotels giving Cmat this year in 2025 what guidance for cut off and pi round

Syed Ali 13th Dec, 2024

Welingkar Institute of Management (WeSchool) is a reputed institute, and admission for its programs via CMAT is competitive. Here are some guidelines:

1. CMAT Cutoff Guidance:

The cutoff for PGDM at Welingkar varies yearly. Typically, for CMAT, you should aim for a 90+ percentile to increase your chances, although candidates with strong profiles (work experience, academics, etc.) may get a call with a slightly lower percentile.

For the Mumbai campus, the cutoff is higher compared to the Bengaluru campus.

2. Profile Assessment:

Your work experience with Taj Hotels and consistent academic scores in 10th and 12th are strong points. However, your graduation score (56%) may be a weak link, so ensure you perform well in CMAT to strengthen your profile.

3. Preparation for the PI Round:

Focus on articulating your work experience and connecting it to your interest in management.

Be clear about why you chose Welingkar and how their program aligns with your career goals.

Practice answers for common questions like "Why MBA?" and "What are your short- and long-term career goals?"

4. Documents Required:

Keep ready all academic certificates, CMAT scorecard, and work experience letters for verification.

For more details, check Welingkar’s official admission portal.
