Hi Vishnu,

You have an excellent choice of profession as this is one of those profession where thereis very less chances of not getting a job as people will keep on travelling and would keep in checking inand out of the hotels which means hotel management is one of those fields which will always be ever green.

The course which you would have to do would be either of the below-

For getting into the top colleges would be-

I got 173 marks in cmat (52 percentile) can I get admission in Indian institute of travel and tourism management (IITTM )

dhruv khandal 7th Feb, 2019

Greetings,

Anurag so the eligibility  criteria for IITTM (Gwalior [HO], Bhubaneswar , Noida , Goa , Nellore) is that the candidate applying for MBA programme should have a:

*Bachelor degree with minimum  50%  (General and OBC) and 45% (SC/ST ) from a recognized Indian or foreign university ( AIU foreign equivalence list )

Should have appeared in any of the following management entrance exam:

MAT

CAT

CMAT

XAT

GMAT

ATMA

OR

IGNTU IITTM Admission Test (conducted by IGNTU and IITTM)

DATE : 9TH JUNE 2019

TIME : 10:00 TO 12:00

CENTRE : ANY IITTM CENTRE ( GWALIOR, BHUBANESWAR , NOIDA AND NALLORE )

* GROUP DISCUSSION AND PERSONAL INTERVIEW

Short listed candidates will appear for GD and PI in any of the centre mentioned above .

* SELECTION PROCESS

CAT/MAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT/ATMA OR IGNTU IITTM  will carry 70%

GD :15%

PI : 15 %

TOTAL SCORE 100%

So as I am assuming that you belong to General category and must have scored minimum 50% in your Bachelor degree .

Then as you have mentioned that you have got 52 percentile in your CMAT, I have to say YES that there are  moderate chances of you getting into  best  IITTM's ( IITTM NOIDA and GWALIOR ) if you do great in your GD and PI because Inter-se-merit will be determined on three percentile criteria mentioned above .

You have a moderate score if the percentile mentioned by the IITTM  is concerned(CMAT 70%) and if you try to get 10% in GD as well as PI there are chances that you can compete against other candidates strongly.

However there are high chances that you will get into Nellore and Goa.

I hope this article might have helped you resolve every queries mentioned and if not then do drop a comment I will be delighted to help you out  .
