It depends you are asking after 12th or after graduation?

In case you are asking for tourism field after 12th, then you can choose to do BA in travel and tourism. After graduation, you can do MBA in tourism or MA in toursim. You can let me know your qualification and accordingly I shall guide you in detail.

After 12th, with your interest in travelling, you can pursue courses in:

  • Travel and Tourism
  • Air Travel Management
  • Hospitality
  • Aviation Hospitality
  • Tourist guide
  • Airfare and Ticketing

You can pursue BA, BBA, Bsc and even Bcom in the above mentioned specializations as it depends upon your interest as well.

The eligibility may vary course-course and institute wise.

In  some colleges there can be entrances for the same and others might take through merit and an interview. There are diploma and certificate courses as well.

You can take professional training further to get the real time experience and to enhance your expertise.

It's good to see that you have a interest in travel and tourism. Basically its a component of service industry and its scope is never ending. So you are heading towards right path.
Well in order to get a call from iittm gwalior, You need atleast 70 percentile in cat and 80 in mat due to dynamism and tough competition out there in current scenario.
I am sure that you will get this much of percentile to get into iittm gwalior.
Keep focussed and stay healthy and you will be there for sure.

After 12th, you can apply for the following job profiles if you love to travel but not before you get the required qualification to join your field of interest.

  • You can work in the field of construction. You can locate to different places to oversee your projects.
  • Destination wedding photographer
  • Event coordinators are mostly needed to travel. This involves huge amount of money and enhances your creative skills.
  • Cabinet crew/Air hostess are some of the professions which involve travelling.
  • Tour Guides are needed everywhere. This is best for people who love to travel and explore places.
  • Sales representatives are expected to move within the country or abroad for the meetings. Depending on the product type you may be expected to travel.

Yes, the institute offers MBA degree in tourism and hospitality. To get admission in MBA (tourism and hospitality) in ICFAI University, you have to qualify in ICFAI Business School Aptitude Test (IBSAT), which is an online management entrance exam conducted by The ICFAI Foundation For Higher Education for admission to MBA/PGDM programmes. 

 

IBSAT is the entrance exam for admissions to nine IBS campuses at Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai, Pune and Dehradun. After the declaration of result, shortlisted candidates are selected for Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI).

In dilemma to pursue Travel and tourism or aviation line in defence. Please guide... Lighten both the the ways

After your graduation, you can pursue MBA/MA in travel and tourism or even in Aviation. Now that you are confused I will be listing the scope for both so that you can relate to your interest more.

Career options exists both in public and private sectors.

  • With travel and tourism degree- Hotels, restaurants, retailing, transportation, travel agencies, tour companies, tourist attractions, leisure, recreation and sport, and cultural industries are some of the contributors to this industry.
  • With Aviation degree-  Off ground and on ground functions include Airport Operations, Reservations & ticketing, air traffic controller, airline manager, aviation attorney, maintenance manager, or safety inspector, aircraft manufacturers, airports, cargo airlines are related to this industry.
  • Pilot in defence- It has a set of criterias which includes firstly, Physics and Maths as compulsory subjects and second there is an entrance exam which is AFCAT which you will have to clear to apply for Pilot in Defence. There is an age limit as well. 

The scope in all is good and totally depends upon your interest.
