at what marks in jee advanced I was in iist TRIVANDRUM as per obc

Sharon Rose Student Expert 30th Sep, 2020

Hello,

JEE Advanced total marks are not the same every year it changes every year so it is difficult to predict the marks with which you may get seat in IIST, Trivandrum. In 2019 the last cut off percentage of marks were as follows for OBC category

  • Aerospace: 29.30%
  • EC: 28.76%
  • Dual Degree: 27.96%

Considering this you need to score minimum 30%-35% marks of the total marks in JEE Advanced to have decent chances of getting seat. Cut off changes every year depending on number of candidates appeared, difficulty of exam and number of seats available etc.

Ayona 25th Sep, 2020

Hello,

IISER 2020 cutoff will be based on various parameters like numbers of appearing candidates, total number of seats, the difficulty level of exam and the last year admission record. IISER cutoff is based on the state board, CBSE board, ICSE board.  You haven't mentioned your Board but considering your board as CBSE then you need to have 88.3 % to get admission in, and state board have their own cutoff %.  There is also 5% cutoff relaxation will be provided to OBC(NCL).

Anurag Khanna 21st Sep, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

See your eligibility for JEE-Advance is not determined by your marks in JEE-Main instead it is determined by the percentile you scored in your JEE-Main final result. As we know that NTA released the cut-offs for different categories so it is also described below :-

  • Common Rank List (CRL) - 90 .3765335
  • GEN-EWS - 70 .2435518
  • Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) - 72.8887969
  • Scheduled Caste (SC) - 50.1760245
  • Scheduled Tribe (ST) - 39.0696101
  • PwD - 0.0618524

So in your case you have to secure 72.8887969 percentile to become eligible for JEE-Advance. For more details kindly refer to the link given below :-
