Dear Raja,
Neurosurgeons require slightly more training than orthopaedic surgeons, and earn considerably more on average. An orthopaedic surgeon may work in private practice in an office setting as well as in a surgical hospital setting, while neurosurgeons are usually found exclusively in hospitals. The Earnings are same no matter in which country they are practicing .
Thank You!
Dear Aspirant,
As you have scored good in GRE and your IELTS score is also decent but only this won't help you to take admission in MS in United States. The universities look for research experiences, Letter of recommendation, relevant certificates and students participation in extra curricular activities. In terms of CGPA which the student has to convert into GPA and roughly it should be near 7.5 CGPA which will confirm your admission in MS after securing such marks in GRE and IELTS. Still you can get admission if you have done some extra-ordinary work in Research area and publishes good amount of research papers.
Hope this information is helpful. Have a great day!
After Completing PG of Medicine in India to become a Doctor at USA, the candidate has to practice in post graduation at USA too and then apply for work visa in USA once they get the residency confirmation to continue as a Doctor in USA.
Hope this information helps you.
Let us see how you become a doctor in the US after completing your MBBS from India. So, supposedly, you have competed MBBS in India. Now you have two options to complete residency in the US.
USMLE is United States Medical Licensing Examination. Step 3 assesses if you know the application of the medical knowledge without supervision. It is the final exam in the U.S. to obtain a license. Only after completing Step 3 will you be able to obtain the license.
Take the USMLE exams. Once you finish MBBS, try to do a month or two of elective training in one of the American universities in your intern year. Once you are there, reach out to people and try to find a research job in the department you are interested in for the next year. Once you are in research, try to publish a few good first authored papers, and as many co-authored papers as possible and attend conferences.
You will need high USMLE scores, US research experience, publications and conference presentations to get into a residency program. And above all, a very supportive and well connected mentor in the US.
Very few doctors take the second route. While studying Masters, they prepare for USMLE 3 and once they have completed USMLE Step 3, just like any other professionals, they apply for jobs in the hospitals for Residency.
Doctors are paid during Residency (minimum 3 years). After completing Residency, you have to take state board license to practice medicine in that particular state. Some of them get so tied up in their Masters programme that they are unable to focus on USMLE.
Hope this helps. All the best!

Hello Aspirant,
Hope your doing good!
Students planning to pursue an MS degree in the US have to display their English proficiency by sitting for the IELTS exam which evaluates the following skills-
Almost the majority of the universities or graduate schools accept IELTS scores from the applicants and more than 3 million test-takers applied for the IELTS test to get admission to different institutions in the US.
Most of the universities accept 5.5 IELTS in the USA and in case the IELTS score is less than 5.5, then you must consider taking the IELTS Test again. While targeting an average university in the US Universities, the candidates’ IELTS score must be at least 6.5 or higher than that.
On a safer side, A score of 7 in IELTS is a good score acceptable by some of the well known colleges in the US.

Thankyou, Good Luck for everything ahead :)
Hello Amreen, Scoring a 5 in IELTS is not considered a very good performance. Countries like US, UK, Canada want a minimum of about overall 6.5 in the IELTS test. For the admission part, no colleges take admission only on the basis of IELTS because it is a language proficiency test and not an aptitude test. The colleges require multiple other things like Academic references, Statement of purpose, School and college marks and other things depending on which country you are applying.
