UPCET M.B.A
Greetings,
Khushi I would say in this situation that it is always advisable to give an entrance exam because you get wide variety of choices that you can apply in the colleges provided under entrance exam and also which are not under it .
Secondly it is always seen that better quality / worthy /top colleges conduct entrance exam to select students who are good in studies / academics which provide you a quality student life in the campus and it will also benefit the college .
If you apply directly to any MBA college which do take some kind of test or have eligibility intake of any of the major MBA degree exam then you have to pay 3-4 times the amount of fee that is prescribed .
Even if you take admission in a college that take students on the basis of their graduation score/ percentage then credibility of that college is doubted .
So I would suggest that there is no harm in giving UPSEE MBA entrance exam because it increases you sphere / list of colleges where you can apply otherwise by not giving it you will definitely loss on many good colleges .
If you are talking about the difference in course then NO ,the field you will choose and others who got admitted in colleges offered under UPSEE will be same but there will be difference of faculties , facilities, on-campus jobs , etc which you will miss out even after paying the same fee in other non -UPSEE accepting colleges .
I hope this article might have helped you figure out the difference asked ,if you are not satisfied with the answer or have some doubts or queries do drop a comment or post another question and I will surely help you .

For almost every MBA entrance exam you need to have a minimum of 50% marks in your bachelor degree. However, minimum 45% is required for candidates falling in SC/ST/PWD category.
Few of the Management exams require that the student be a graduate from a recognized university in any discipline.
CAT: 50% (45% for SC/ST/PWD category)
XAT: 50% (45% for SC/ST/PWD category)
NMAT by GMAC: 50%
IIFT: Just a bachelor degree
SNAP: 50% (45% for SC/ST/PWD category)
APICET: 50%
TANCET: 50%
MH CET: 50%
(above mentioned is the minimum percentage required)
Hello aman,
You can do MBA through distance and correspondance MBA or part time MBA. But these degrees have little value and you might not get a shift in your career path through dustance/ correspondance or part time MBA.
Colleges that providing distance/ correspondance MBA are:-
1)Narsee monjee institute of management studies (NMIMS)
2)Symbiosis center for distance learning
3)sikkim manipal university
4) amity university (distance learning)
MBA can be done by a student of any field. If you want to do MBA you should be good in maths. If you have done maths till 12th class it’s good. You just need to work on your reasoning, aptitude and english to clear CAT exam. People from different fields apply for it and it does not affect much if you prepare for the CAT exam for about 6-8 months with dedication.
All the best
