I got 82.89 percentile in jee mains 2021 feb attempt can i get into state engineering college or home state nit i belong from general ews from uttarakhand.I want to get cse or IT branch in nit uk or gb pantnagar. Is there is any chance

ganeshwankhede1998 11th Jun, 2021

Dear aspirant,

As you know, JEE Mains is one of the toughest and most prestigious engineering exams across India so it's obvious that there is a huge competition. The competition is that tough that the students lose their chances of admission by only a 0.1 or 0.2 percentile.

National Institute of Technology, Uttarakhand is one of the 31 NITs and one of the institutes of national importance. Still, the rank of NIT Uttarakhand is low in the list but being NIT it has a massive crowd every year for admission. As you said you got 82.89 percentile in JEE Mains 2021 February attempt so that's good but not up to the mark to get admission into NIT Uttarakhand.

As per your percentile, your rank may be between 1,80,000 -1,85,000. So, as per the rank estimation, you will get admission to the GB Pantnagar in Computer Science and Information Technology branch. The previous year's cut-off as per the rank for CSE and IT branch in GB Pantnager is up to 8,00,000th rank for general category. As you are from the EWS category so, you will easily get admission there.

To get more clarity, you can predict your college at the JEE Mains 2021 College Predictor of Careers360 from the below link:

I hope you get admission soon.

Hlo sir I am from Uttarakhand have done my 10th and 12th from Himachal Pradesh can you please tell me where to get the PCS exam from Himachal and Uttarakhand? i mean will i get a state quota of both states?

Vibhanshu 26th Apr, 2021

Hello Rohit,

Since you have done your 10th and 12th from Himachal Pradesh, that means your home state for PCS and any other exam would be Himachal Pradesh and not Uttarakhand. This means that Himachal Pradesh will be your home state quota. You obviously won't get state quotas from two states.

snigdha vig 24th Apr, 2021

Hi,

According to the state of eligibility criteria for JEE, the state the candidate has completed his or her class 12th or equivalent examination will be considered as their state of eligibility. Since, you have completed your class 12th from Uttarakhand, then your state of eligibility will be the same only.
