sir, i have got a seat in NiT Raipur in csab 1st round and willing opted in float. in case alloted seat in 2nd round not intrested. any option to change any other NIT in existing vacancies after all rounds. please reply
I believe you should lock whatever you get at NIT Raipur , as there are not many universities, GFTIs and NITs going for an additional round post CSAB Round 2. The Classes and Induction processes are scheduled to begin by December 1st. Secondly, NIT Raipur itself is a good technical institute with good infrastructure, faculty and placements.
I got crl 1966 obc 577 ranks in jee paper 2(b.arch).i have been registered for josaa but i didnt get any seat.Ive registered in CSAB 2020,and my home state is TN.Ive chosen NITC,but there were only 4 seats vacancies in open category.Do i have any chances if getting in obc category????
Dear Aspirant,
You may have some chances of getting the seat. The number of seats for Architecture through JOSAA counselling is only 559 in the 9 NITs out of 31 NITs of India.
The number of seats for quota students or reservation students are limited. Therefore, there is only a handful number of OBC seats available for applications. The chances are extremely slim as your OBC rank itself is 577 which is quite high as far as getting architecture is concerned. That may be reason, why you didn't get a seat for the course in JOSAA rounds of counselling.
CSAB Counselling occurs for filling up the vacancies that are available in the NITs, GFTIs and IIITs. Obviously, the number of seats would be extremely scarce and there are still a lot of applicants.
In case you want to know which colleges you may get based on your JEE Paper 2 rank, I suggest you to click on this URL:-
This shall give you the list of colleges that you may get admission through counselling process.
As you mentioned there are like 4 seats of vacancy left to be filled in your domain i.e. Tamil Nadu, your chances are very very slim.
At this point of time, you should look for some good state government colleges that offer admission in architecture to students of your rank. You can also explore some private institutes which are as good or better than the state government institutions.
Good luck in finding a good college.
Sir I have uploaded worng OBC NCL in my JEE ADVANCED form (only the purpose of making the cretificate is wrong, mentioned that it is made for Government vacancies), but now I have a new and OBC NCL of the correct format so in JOSAA should I upload the new OBC NCL certificate which is correct?
Yes, you should upload the original OBC certificate in JoSAA portal in order to avoid problems during admission. I don't think there will be any problem if the certificates don't match. They will definitely consider the new one. Make sure to submit the correct document during admission to the college.
All the best.
i got EEE in amrita Bangalore i confirmed my seat ,can i change the branch to cse if there are any vacancies .reply fast please
You can change your stream in a college only if you are eligible for it. Most of the colleges give an opportunity to the students to change their branch in the 2nd year. If you want to change your branch from EEE to CSE then you need to score a minimum marks so that you become eligible for the change. That marks will be said by the college authorities.
Hope this answer helps you.
Good luck!!

PL enlighten me on fwg issues on IPM Entrance exam for IIMs. 1. What is the level of difficulty and competition, is it at par with JEE 2. how many vacancies available for Gen cat student. 3. where is the best Coaching available for this exam. regards
Hello Yuvi!!
First of all I will like to mention that it's not appropriate to compare two different streams together. JEE is for Btech or BE and IPMAT is conducted for the five year integrated programme for admission in IIM Indore. Yes, talking about syllabus and competition, it is more for JEE exams but on the other hand for IPMAT the syllabus is quite short and easy.
Total Number of seats is 120 for IPMAT. The number of seats for general students has not been specified.
And regarding coaching please mention whether you need to know about online or offline coaching and if offline please do mention your location.
Here I am attaching the link for more information on JEE and IPMAT exams. For more detailed information you can go through it as well.
