Can I get a cse seat in vit vellore with 95% in 12th boards and without vitee ?

Prachi Kumari 13th Mar, 2025

Hello,

You cannot get a CSE seat at VIT Vellore with just 95% in 12th boards and without appearing for VITEEE. Admission to B.Tech programs at VIT is primarily based on the VITEEE exam .

However, for NRIs and foreign students, admission is possible through the direct admission category. If you are an Indian student, you must appear for VITEEE to get a seat.

Hello there,

No, VIT requires a minimum of 60% in PCM for B.Tech admission. If you haven’t met the eligibility criteria, they are unlikely to reserve your seat. However, you can contact VIT directly and inform them about your plan to take an improvement exam. They might allow you to update your marks after the improvement results are declared.

Amrita or VIT is the best for btech? Compare placements, fees, quality education, nirf ranking, courses, salary, food and accommodation, facilities offered like different labs, etc.

sadafreen356 13th Feb, 2025

When it comes to choosing between Amrita and VIT for B.Tech, both universities have their strengths. Here's a comparison of the two:

Placements

VIT has a slight edge in terms of placements, with 904 recruiters participating in the 2023 placement drive and making 14,345 job offers. The highest package offered was INR 1.02 crore per annum, while the average package was INR 9.23 LPA. Amrita, on the other hand, saw 200+ recruiters participating in the placement drive, with the highest package offered being INR 56.95 LPA.

Fees

The fee structure for both universities varies depending on the program and campus. However, Amrita's fees tend to be slightly higher, with the first-year fees for B.Tech ranging from INR 3 lakhs to INR 3.5 lakhs. VIT's fees for B.Tech range from INR 1.83 lakhs to INR 3 lakhs.

Quality of Education

Both universities have a strong reputation for quality education, but Amrita has a slight edge in terms of NIRF rankings. Amrita was ranked 5th in the NIRF University Rankings 2022, while VIT was ranked 9th. However, VIT has been recognized as an Institution of Eminence (IoE) by the Government of India, which gives it more autonomy to innovate and improve its programs.

Courses

Both universities offer a wide range of B.Tech programs, including Computer Science, Electronics, Mechanical, and more. However, Amrita has a stronger focus on research and innovation, with many programs incorporating hands-on research projects and collaborations with industry partners.

Salary

The average salary packages for B.Tech graduates from both universities are comparable, with VIT's average package being INR 9.23 LPA and Amrita's average package being INR 5.8 LPA.

Facilities and Infrastructure

Both universities have state-of-the-art infrastructure, including modern classrooms, labs, libraries, and sports facilities. However, VIT has a slight edge in terms of the number of labs and research centers, with over 50 labs and research centers on campus.

Food and Accommodation

Both universities offer decent food and accommodation options, with Amrita having a reputation for its clean and hygienic hostel facilities. VIT also has a range of accommodation options, including hostels and apartments.

Ultimately, the choice between Amrita and VIT depends on your individual priorities and preferences. If you're looking for a university with a strong focus on research and innovation, Amrita might be the better choice. However, if you're looking for a university with a slightly lower fee structure and a wider range of labs and research centers, VIT might be the better option.

I passed Class 12 from CBSE but later improved 4 subjects via NIOS, so I have 2 marksheets. Will NITs, IIITs (JoSAA) & private colleges (VIT, MHT CET, WBJEE) accept them? How should I fill JEE form to avoid issues? Any proof or past cases? Please Help

Tanya Gupta 9th Feb, 2025

Hello,

Yes, NITs, IIITs (JoSAA), and private colleges (VIT, MHT CET, WBJEE) generally accept NIOS improvement marksheets if they meet the eligibility criteria. While filling the JEE form, enter details from the latest marksheet (NIOS improved subjects) to avoid confusion. Past cases show students with NIOS improvement getting admission. However, check specific college policies, as some may have restrictions on improvement exams from open boards.

Hope this helps you,

Thank you

i got 206 in nmat is it possibe i get a calll from vit for mba?

Sakshi Badoni 3rd Jan, 2025

Hello Greetings

VIT Business School considers NMAT scores for MBA admissions. While the cutoff scores vary from year to year, here's a general idea:

VIT Business School NMAT Cutoff Trends

- _Previous year's cutoff_: Around 220-240

- _Average NMAT score for shortlisting_: 210-230

Given your NMAT score of 206, it's a bit challenging to predict a call from VIT Business School. However, it's not impossible.

Factors Influencing Shortlisting

1. _NMAT score_: While 206 is slightly below the average cutoff, it's still a competitive score.

2. _Academic performance_: Your undergraduate degree percentage, work experience (if any), and other academic achievements will be considered.

3. _Profile_: Your overall profile, including extracurricular activities, achievements, and fit with the program, will be evaluated.

To increase your chances:

Next Steps

1. _Check the official website_: Verify the admission criteria and cutoff scores on VIT Business School's official website.

2. _Apply to other colleges_: Consider applying to other MBA colleges that accept NMAT scores to keep your options open.

3. _Prepare for the interview_: If you do receive a call, prepare thoroughly for the interview to showcase your skills and fit with the program.

Keep in mind that admission decisions are holistic and depend on various factors. While a score of 206 might make it challenging, it's essential to stay positive and explore other opportunities.

Have a great day
