i got 13 k rank in ap emcet actually i am ts student is i got best clg

Shambhavi shambhavi 19th Dec, 2024

With an AP EAMCET 2024 rank of 13,000, you have a competitive standing for securing a seat in reputable engineering colleges in Andhra Pradesh. However, as a Telangana resident, your eligibility for admission in Andhra Pradesh colleges depends on specific criteria.

Eligibility for Andhra Pradesh Colleges:

Local vs. Non-Local Status: Andhra Pradesh colleges typically prioritize local candidates from the state. As a Telangana resident, you would be considered a non-local candidate. Some colleges may have provisions for non-local candidates, but these are often limited and may affect your chances.

Recommendations:

1. Verify Eligibility: Before proceeding, confirm your eligibility for admission in Andhra Pradesh colleges. This information is usually available on the official websites of the respective colleges or the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education.

2. Explore Telangana Colleges: Given your residency, you might have a better chance of securing a seat in Telangana colleges. Colleges such as JNTU Hyderabad, Osmania University, and others offer quality engineering programs.

3. Consider Other States: Some states have provisions for students from neighboring states. For instance, Maharashtra has a quota for students from Maharashtra and neighboring states. Research the eligibility criteria of colleges in such states.

4. Stay Informed: Regularly check the official websites of the colleges you're interested in for the latest information on admission requirements and deadlines.

By considering these factors and staying proactive, you can enhance your chances of securing a seat in a reputable en

gineering college.

I got a seat in VIT Vellore. But I dont have 60% in PCM. I will give an Improvement exam in Mathematics but the result will most probably come after the classes are started in VIT. When I called they told me to contact them after my result comes out. Should I actually wait or just take KIIT?

monag2673 30th Jul, 2024

Securing admission in VIT Vellore without meeting the 60% PCM requirement is risky.

While waiting for your improvement exam results might seem like an option, consider these factors:

  • Seat Confirmation: Without fulfilling the eligibility criteria, your admission could be canceled.
  • Academic Loss: Delaying your studies by a semester might impact your overall academic progress.
  • KIIT Option: Exploring KIIT as an alternative while awaiting your results is a prudent decision.
  • Risk Assessment: Weigh the potential benefits of waiting against the risks involved.

Ultimately, the decision depends on your risk appetite and priorities. It's advisable to consult with academic advisors or counselors for guidance.
