I got 298 in neet 2024. Can I get a govt veterinary seat. I am from Kerala and I belong to OBC category

kumardurgesh1802 31st Oct, 2024

Hello student,

With a NEET score of 298 and belonging to the OBC category in Kerala, securing a government veterinary seat is challenging. The NEET cutoff for veterinary courses varies annually and is influenced by factors such as the number of applicants, seat availability, and overall exam performance. Typically, for OBC candidates, the cutoff scores are higher than 298.

Considerations:

  1. State Quota: Kerala's state counseling may have slightly lower cutoffs compared to the All India Quota. Participating in state counseling could provide better opportunities.

  2. Alternative Courses: Exploring related fields such as B.Sc. in Animal Husbandry or other allied health sciences might be viable options.

  3. Private Colleges: Private veterinary colleges may have lower cutoffs, though they come with higher tuition fees.

Next Steps:

  • Counseling Participation: Engage in both state and All India counseling sessions to explore available options.

  • Stay Informed: Monitor official counseling websites for updates on seat allotments and cutoff trends.

While admission to a government veterinary college with a score of 298 is challenging, exploring these alternatives and staying proactive in the counseling process can help identify potential opportunities.

Mam I have done my bachelors in veterinary sciences .Am I eligible for msc in clinical embryology at AIIMS Delhi?

Nitin Kumar 5th Jun, 2024

The eligibility criteria for M.Sc. in Reproductive Biology and Clinical Embryology at AIIMS Delhi might be a bit ambiguous for your situation.

Your B.Sc. in Veterinary Sciences is a valuable degree, but it might not directly fulfill the typical eligibility requirements for M.Sc. in Clinical Embryology programs. These programs often look for candidates with a background in Biology or related fields.

i got eamcet 57210 rank ,can got veterinary set

kumardurgesh1802 20th Oct, 2024

Hello student,

With an EAMCET rank of 57,210, getting a veterinary seat might be challenging, as the cutoff ranks for veterinary courses are generally competitive. Here are some points to consider:

1. Check Previous Year Cutoffs:

  • Look at the previous year’s cutoff ranks for veterinary colleges in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. This will give you an idea of the likelihood of securing a seat with your rank.

    2. College Options:

  • Focus on colleges that may have lower cutoffs for veterinary programs. Some private colleges might have higher chances of admitting students with similar ranks.

    3. Counseling Process:

  • Participate in the EAMCET counseling process, and fill in your preferences carefully. Prioritize veterinary colleges in your choice list.

    4. Stay Informed:

  • Keep an eye on announcements and updates during the counseling process regarding seat availability and any changes in cutoffs.

While it might be a tough scenario, exploring all available options and being proactive during counseling can help.

sir I got 1927 ranking in veterinary in practical can I get aa veterinary seat

kumardurgesh1802 16th Sep, 2024

Hello student,

With a ranking of 1927 in the veterinary practical exam, your chances of securing a seat in a veterinary program depend on several factors:

  1. Previous Year Cutoffs: Check the cutoffs from previous years for veterinary colleges. Veterinary colleges often have varying cutoffs based on demand and the number of available seats.

  2. Category Reservations: If you belong to a reserved category, such as SC/ST/OBC, you might have a better chance, as some seats are reserved for these categories.

  3. State-wise Availability: Veterinary colleges have different cutoffs depending on the state and college. Research the cutoffs for colleges in your state and other states where you might be eligible to apply.

  4. Counseling Process: Participate in the counseling process diligently. Seats often open up in later rounds, so if you don't get a seat in the first round, you might still have a chance in subsequent rounds.

  5. Backup Options: Consider applying to multiple colleges or programs to increase your chances of admission.

Given a rank of 1927, you have a reasonable chance, but the final outcome will depend on the specific college's cutoff and availability. Check with the veterinary colleges and the admission authorities for the most accurate and current information.
