Ranchi veterinary college is govt. college under Birsamunda agriculture university, but is not approved by vci since last few years ,so if I complete my degree from here will I be eligible for upsc or other central level jobs?

gopi 6th Jul, 2025

Hello Pragathi,

When completing your degree in veterinary from the Ranchi Veterinary College - Birsa Agricultural University, you will become eligible for UPSC and other jobs in the central level government, even if it doesn't receive recognition from the Veterinary Council of India (VCI) at this time.

However, if you want a job which requires a VCI recognized veterinary degree, you will need VCI recognition for jobs like Central government veterinary post and higher studies in some institutions. Therefore, even though no recognition from VCI does not change your overall eligibility to enter in services like UPSC or other civil services etc., you may find limited career choices in the veterinary field without formal recognition by the VCI.

Can i get into gmc for veterinary by obtaining 353in neet ug st category

Ayush Madanpotra 7th Jul, 2025

If you got 353 marks in NEET UG 2025 and you belong to the ST category, then you have qualified for the exam because the qualifying marks for ST are usually between 113 to 143. But to get a seat in a government veterinary college (like for BVSc & AH), you may need around 400 to 440 marks, even in the ST category.

So with 353 marks, it may be difficult to get admission in a government veterinary college. But you can still try for private veterinary colleges, where the cutoff is usually lower, and you may get a seat based on your score and category.

my rank in neet 6826 pwbd category qualify or not for veterinary sc caste

SHUBHANGI SINHA 5th Jul, 2025

Hello,

Congratulations on earning a PwBD category  NEEt rank of 6826! You have a good chance of being admitted to a Veterinary College, particularly for the BVSc & AH course, given your extra reservation under the SC category.

What You Should Do?

  • If available, apply for the all India Quota and state counselling.
  • The PwBD certificate, the SC certificate, the NEET scorecard, and the domicile certificate should all be kept on hand.
  • Due to lower cutoffs, be willing to enroll in more recent or rural veterinary colleges.

my kcet rank in veterinary is 19,000 and hk quota is applicable will I get veterinary college in karnataka? please answer

Sonakshi Kumari 1st Jul, 2025

Hello Aspirant,

With a KCET veterinary rank of 19,000 and HK (Hyderabad-Karnataka) quota eligibility, you do have a fair chance of getting admission into government veterinary colleges in Karnataka, especially in the Hyderabad-Karnataka region (like Bidar, Hassan, or Gadag), but it will depend on the cutoff trends for 2025.

In previous years, veterinary seats under HK quota have closed around 18,000–22,000 ranks, so your rank is within range.

What you should do-

  • Participate actively in all rounds of KCET counselling

  • Keep HK certificate and required documents ready

  • Consider all government veterinary colleges during option entry

All the best for your counselling.

Ive got 9369 rank in AP EAPCET. I belongs to BC-A(girls) category. AU is my region. Can I get Svvu for veterinary??

gopi 28th Jun, 2025

Hello Aspirant,

With 9369 rank in AP EAPCET 2025 and BC-A (Girls) category and AU (Andhra University) region, a seat in Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University (SVVU) for the B.V.Sc. & A.H. degree program might be quite difficult, because there are only a limited amount of veterinary seats and typically close under 2000 rank for BC categories due to reservation benefit, especially for girls.

That said, the cutoff ranks can always slightly change each year, based upon competition and the quota from each category. You can still apply and try to expose yourself to second/spot counselling rounds, or alternatives like animal husbandry, agriculture, or allied sciences at ANGRAU or Dr. YSR Horticultural University. Hii, my kcet rank is 41k can i get veterinary seat in Karnataka

Rithwik Kumar Sahu 31st Jul, 2025

With a KCET veterinary rank of 41,000, getting a BVSc seat in government veterinary colleges in Karnataka is highly unlikely under the General category, as cutoffs usually close below 2,500. However, if you belong to reserved categories like SC/ST/OBC, HK, or Rural quota, there might be a slim chance. You can also explore private veterinary colleges or related courses like Animal Husbandry or Agricultural Sciences where the cutoff ranks are more flexible.
