hey,

the basic eligibility criteria to get admission in bachelors of visual communication is candidate must have done their 10+2 from recognized board with relevant stream and candidate must have secured a minimum aggregate of 50 percent marks in their 10+2 , subjects like electronics media will be given preference

BSc Visual Communication is a three year undergraduate course. One need to have qualities like effective communication skills, creative imagination for this course. You'll havw to use imagination and put it to work. Topics in this course will range from typography to digital design. Some other important topic colos are illustration, electronic resources. You have to do some research on these topics, get the best books, also take help from YouTube  channels- Killer Visual Strategies, ZPZ Education, the Mind Healing etc.

The admission process for Madras Christian College and Loyola college is based on merit ( marks scored in Class 12). The application form is not yet available on the official website. After the Class 12 results of Tamilnadu State board is announced the admission process will start in both of the colleges.

Can commerce student without maths can go for Bsc Visual communication??? If not then which is better for them??

Yes, you can go for BSc visual communication while having a Commerce background. The eligibility criteria for the ourse states that the Candidate must have passed class 12th with at least 50% marks from any subject stream from a recognised Board of education.

B.Sc. and BA in Visual Communication, both are three-year Undergraduate courses. Let us discuss about differences in both the courses :-

@B.A. in Visual communication

In this course you will be dealing with different tools used for visual communication like Photoshop, Illustrator, 3-D Design, etc. After completing this course you will be able to use the skills in developing web graphics, book and magazine desining visually and many other many other traditional class as well as hands-on studio experience.

@B.Sc in Visual communication

In this course you will learn all above skills with deep understanding of the tools we discussed above. It will give you an in depth understanding of basics of human psychology, basic principles of art, production design, etc. These understandings will give you chance to expose yourself in better art according to the demand of industries. In this course you will also be exploring set designing, script writing, photography and other skills.

So if we conclude the comparison we will find that B.Sc. is much better than BA because it gives you deep understanding of skills and also proper use of it.

What all skills do we require or is it any special skill for Visual Communication course???

as such you don't require to have a skill before joining the visual communication course. You are taught several skills in the course itself. Some of the important skills in this field are color theory and distinction, design principles, persuasion, image types, camera/ filming actions etc.,
Colleges combine theory and practical to improve skills in students.

Visual Communication is the branch of study where you learn how to represent the information graphically in very efficient and effective way. Here you will learn about infographics, motion graphics, etc.

Students who want to pursue this field they can, whether they are of commerce stream or not. Stream does not matter.
