I guess you are referring to Delhi University since you haven't specified any college or University. For every course there are some eligibility criteria and best 4 should be calculated accordingly. You must have been told for that particular course in which you were not matching the eligibility percentages. For future reference, calculate your best 4 percentage in adherence to the course for which you want to take admission in. Also, apply in the colleges checking the percentage for the category to which you belong to. Many colleges provide 1% concession to female candidates. So also keep sure to check that. You can also check out your suggestive percentage for different courses. Although they are not always accurate. Because, sometimes it happens that when you add a non listed subject, even after deduction the percentage is higher as compared to when other subject was included. kalindi college , affiliated under delhi university offers admission to b.voc course in web designing. the eligibility criteria is candidates must have completed 12th course from a recognize education board with mathematics as a mandatory subject. Candidates must secure atleast of 40% score in 12th course. now as per 2020-2021 sessions admission process, candidates need to apply in university website, based on qualifying exam score colleges are allotted.

You can go with your interest in software department by doing a short term courses for .net, java, web development,design with a decent role and salary.
my advise would be try learning web development / web design.

There there, No you can't can take admission in DU's Kalindi college for Bachelor of vocational in Web Designing. This is a 3 year full time course. An aggregate marks of 40% or more in English/ Hindi, Mathematics and combination of two best other subjects among web designing, Information Technology and those listed in B. Inclusion of any other subject in the combination of best two will lead to a deduction of 2% in the aggregate of the best four.
hello dear as an ece student, u will be taught with c and java language for sure and remaining languages can also be learned if ur interested by taking up online courses at various platforms such as nptel,udemy,coursera,edx and etc.
hello dear,as an ece student you will not need these above skills but these skills arenot taught in institutions of ece branch.
you will have to take up courses and be personally involved and prepared for them through online courses available at udemy,coursera,edx etc.
please go through these.
hello dear,in btech u will be learning technical and non-technical courses such as cse,ece,me,ce etc and gamings and web desingning is not a part of btech courses.

Delhi University offers admission to B. Voc. course on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying exam. The merit is determined on the basis of marks obtained in Best of Four subjects which includes:
Therefore, No deduction will be made in your best four for stream change. Since you don't have Mathematics as your subject, therefore a deduction of 2.5% will be applicable.
Also please note: IT, Web Design and Computer Science will be considered as related Vocational subjects and may be treated as elective and thus treated at par with other elective subjects. 2% advantage will be given to you if you have passed related vocational subject include them in your ‘Best four’
