If I fail in ONE subject in class 11 West Bengal board ( like Physics ), will be considered fail and have to repeat class 11 again??? ( And Im specific about West Bengal board and Class 11)

Aadarsh Gupta 8th Apr, 2021

Hello aspirant,

Hope you are doing well

If we talk about particular west Bengal board so,

Failing in  one subject  in  West Bengal board  is same as failing in all the subjects. The  board  don't give the pass certificate until and unless you pass in all the subjects (in this case Also you are allowed to give compartment exam Of that particular subject). This is the rule for 12th class .

So in  class 11th also you will be allowed for giving compartment exam in one subject as in class 11th school have some powers for the students so they will give you some favour don't worry.

Hope this helps you

Feel free to ask any

All the best for your future

Will I have to repeat class 11 in West Bengal board if I fail in ONE subject (Like Physics)?? I have 6 subjects.

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 8th Apr, 2021

hi,

see wbchse board conduct 10+2 exam , where 11th final exam was held in school and the respective school teachers would examine the answer sheet, but the final year 11th exam questions would be from wbhse board. so basically if you fail in one subject, you would get call to meet teachers with guardians, however in some of the school there is separate supplementary test which questions would be make by school teachers, you need to appear in supplementary exam. however there is less chances for repeat of 11th as per record of the most of the school. so dont worry and give full attention to studies so that the same situation not to repeat in next time.

I passed 10 in 2013 and I want to get admission in class 11 in 2021 in West Bengal board so what is the procedure for admission!!?? I dont give 10+2 from open schooling ok!!

harshitasharansrivastava Student Expert 16th Feb, 2021

Hi Dear,

The basic criteria for admission into class 11th in any school is that you should have successfully passed class 10th. Also, Legally there is no maximum age limit for education so you can get admission in class 11th. However, the admission policy changes for every school, so please mention the name of the school in which you are interested to seek admission or directly contact the school for admission.

Good Luck

I am from WBCHSC ( west bengal ) board .We were given two choices during admission in +1 , either math + computer science or math + bio . I chosed bio option .Now Bio is in optional elective subject option in my marksheet .Am I falling under additional bio category for neet 2021 ? just curious .

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 23rd Sep, 2020
Hi

Yes, you are eligible for Neet examination.

This is because,

Biology as an additional or optional subject is acceptable in NEET examination

So you are eligible for Neet examination even if you have Biology as an additional or optional subject provided you must have passed in English and in both the theory and practical of PCB i.e Physics, Chemistry and Biology with at least 50  % in aggregate of PCB ( in theory +practical) in 12th examination if belong to general category , or  at least 40% in aggregate of PCB if belongs to Obc/ Sc /st
