West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam
Dear aspirant,
Honestly to get a seat in kalyani government engineering college you need to get atleast less than 3k. And in 3k rank you will get core engineering branch like mechanical engineering.
The computer science branch gets closed till 2k rank. So you really need to get high rank to get into this college.
However various factors are considered while deciding the cut offs like number of candidates appearing in the examination, number of vacant seats in college, previous years cut offs and difficulty level of the paper.
To get complete information you can check out the link given below-

You can get into engineering college by this SC rank. Most of the engineering collges has a cutoff rank above 5000, based on the previous years' admission history. General rank 55k is not eligible. But SC rank can get you admission. For some courses, closing rank of SC was 32k. Hence there is a hope.
Hello Aspirant,
No there is no any option of direct admission to B.Tech course offered by Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata. If you are seeking admission in HIT Kolkata for B.Tech. course then as per the official website of college which is given below, the candidate should either have valid WBJEE score or JEE-Main score otherwise the candidate cannot have admission in aforesaid course.
Because seat allotment takes place as per the following criteria :-
80% seats are filled by WBJEE candidates, 10% are to be filled by JEE-Main candidates and additional 10% seats are to be offered under Management quota for candidates having valid rank cards of WBJEE / JEE-Main.
Official website :-
https://heritageit.edu/BTech.aspx
So you need to appear for either WBJEE or JEE-Main or if you are a Diploma or B.Sc. degree holder then you can get admission directly to the second year of course through JELET conducted by WBJEE board.
I hope this information helps you.
Good Luck!!
