If you wish to apply for the reserved seats under WBJEE domicile reservation criteria, then you must satisfy any of the below mentioned conditions:

• Candidate is residing in WB continuously for 10 years as on 31.12.2020.
• Candidate’s parent / parents is / are permanent resident of WB with permanent address of West Bengal.

If  you satisfy any of these conditions then you will be considered as domicile of West Bengal and will be given reservation under domicile reservation criteria. Also, you will be asked to submit domicile certificate/performa.

The instructions for caste certificate states that the certificate must be issued by an authority of the state of West Bengal. As you have mention , DISTRICT WELFARE OFFICER, KOLKATA and Ex-OFFICIO JOINT DIRECTOR , BACKWARD CLASSES WELFARE , is absolutely fine.

Your caste certificate will be acceptable.

Yeah! this can also be possible. See if there develops such as situation that the college you have marked towards the first of your preference list gets filled up. So you will be alloted seats which have the vacant seats among other colleges in your preference list. But for most of the times, a student gets better college compared to that college as several vacancies are created laterwards.

Currently the situation for wbjee is worsened because they have reserved 90% of the seats in Jadavpur University for its state candidates. Now, nobody wants to go for wbjee colleges as the colleges through wbjee is not at all encouraging in placements.

The total number of applicants in wbjee has decreased very drastically so by any means the seats will be left vacant this year also. The competition is very less in wbjee now .

So, irrespective of JEE mains and advanced seats will still remain vacant.

As you mentioned that you have been allotted a seat with your first choice in WBJEE Counselling 2021, but now you do not want it. So, you can participate in mop-up round for which you need to register and pay fee again. Candidates who are eligible for mop up round are:

• Those who completed admission in Round-1.
• Those who did not get any allotment in Round-1 or 2.

As in your case, you first need to complete the admission in round 1 only then you will become eligible for mop up round. Also kindly note that mope-up round will be done only once and if a seat is allotted to you in mop up round then your previous seat will get cancelled.

This shall not be a problem as the counselling is done on the basis of rank secured in WBJEE and the verification of documents, details is done by college itself.See, you can submit self attested original copies and affidavits mentioning your faults. Later you can correct those mistakes by showing the original copies of related documents.

The cutoffs for B. Pharm in Bengal College of Pharmaceutical Science and Research differs every year but remains approximately around 45,000 (i.e. at the end of third round). Now, your score is very close to the cut-offs and there is a possibility that you can make it to the college but nothing can be stated right now.

Even if you don't, you'll miss only by a whisker. All that said, lets not contemplate of what is not in your hand anymore. Wait till the third round and also keep your options open.

You can opt for upgradation if you are allotted a seat in a college other than first choice of college. You need to login in the candidate portal in the official website and select 'Yes' for upgradation. You must have paid seat acceptance fee and reported in the allotted college in order to participate in round 2. The link to the official website is given here
