what is the difference between BE And B.Tec . and can we join to B.Tec by writing KCET exam

Hello Aspirant ,

There is no difference between BTech ( Bachelors in Technology ) and BE ( Bachelor of Engineering  ) in India , some colleges / Universities use word BTech for example NITs , IITs etc while some use BE for example BITS etc and after completion your degree you will become an engineer .

Yes , You can Join BTech course after writing KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test ) as it is an entrance exam for admission in various courses which includes BTech .

I was HINDU OBC, but now I have converted to a Christian group which is general category. For writing UGC NET, which should I give as my category, OBC or GENERAL? I didnt change my school certificate yet

I have gone throughout your query and here you are HINDU OBC and you converted to a CHRISTIAN  group that is a general category so mention  GENERAL category as you converted and your category into GENERAL.  Also consider, you can get your caste changing documents while filling your UGC NET examination. As your new category is GENERAL which is final.

No, you will not have any problem writing ICAR exam. National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the ICAR AIEEA application form 2022 in the month of July, in online mode. As you are a dropper then kindly make a gap certificate because that will be your solid proof during the verification of documents in the college or in counselling.

It specifies the actual reason for your gap that is for the preparation of the competitive exams. So, basically you need to specify a simple reason for your break in the year and then file it on a stamp paper and make an affidavit of it.

Firstly yes Aeronautical Engineering can be pursued through the results of JEE MAINS.

B.Tech in Aeronautical Engineering is a four years full time eight semesters course, In aeronautical engineering , there is a vital branch of physical science which is called aerodynamics that deals with the motion of air and the way in which it interacts with objects in motion, like an aircraft.

The eligibility to study the course is such that

  • Since the course is offered in most of the engineering colleges, thus, candidates are required to qualify in JEE Mains and JEE Advanced by securing the minimum qualifying percentile.

  • Candidates must secure a minimum aggregate percentage of 70-75 in Physics , Chemistry and Mathematics in their 10+2 or equivalent from a recognised board/university.

    • There are also institutes like IITs , IISc and other Science Research institutions which accept scores received in the GATE examination. Candidates are required to qualify the aforementioned examination with the minimum qualifying percentile for admission in the same.

------Also I should tell you that these as of now are of no importance for you since it is meant for students who have appeared in the NEET 2021 Examination and wish to know about the Colleges where they have chances of getting the MBBS /BDS seats.


You can read the information below for Counseling related details -


After the results are declared by National Testing Agency for the NEET UG Examination the Counseling process for seat allotment takes place.


There are two counseling process -


• All India Quota Counseling or AIQ Counseling

• State counseling


------Through All India Quota Counseling (15% seats reserved in medical colleges) you can take admission in any Government Medical college throughout India. (Note : All India Quota Counseling isn't conducted for seats in Private Medical Colleges)


------- MCC, Medical Counseling Committee conducts All India quota counseling for following seats -


• 15% All India Quota seats MBBS/ BDS Seats of States (participation of the Union Territory of J&K is subject to their contribution of seats),

• 100%MBBS/ BDS Seats of BHU,

• 100% MBBS Seats of AIIMS across India,

• 100% JIPMER seats (Puducherry/ Karaikal),

• 100% AMU

• 85% of State Quota seats of DU/ I.P University (VMMC/ ABVIMS/ESIC Dental),

• 100% -Faculty of Dentistry (Jamia Milia Islamia) along with 5% internal Quota of Jamia students

• 15% IP quota seats of ESIC.


------- But Through state Counseling , you can take admission in Medical colleges in your domicile state only. (For admission in Private Medical Colleges of your state you will have to participate in NEET state counseling


It is very important for you to have domicile certificate to participate in State counseling of colleges you are having certificate of.


------Also I would like to tell you that there are only few states in India which allows students from other states to take admission in their medical colleges through State counseling. Such states are called OPEN STATES.


• Also these admission are in private medical colleges only.


------ Students can participate in these state counselling irrespective of their domicile. Example -Madhya Pradesh is one such state but there is a condition Non Domicile holders are Allowed but from 2nd round of state counseling. Karnataka also allows other state students to participate in counseling for private seats.


-----Also you must know that there are closed states that don’t allow other state student. On the other hand some states are there which are not open for all. In these states only state domicile candidates can take admission. Example - Maharashtra is one such state where only Domicile certificate owners can participate in state counseling.


------- The details and procedure for All India Quota Counseling are as following -


National Testing Agency has declared the results of NEET 2021 examination. Now the All India Quota Counseling will take place for 15% seats reserved in medical colleges of all states.


MCC will conduct 4 rounds of counselling - AIQ Round 1, AIQ Round 2, AIQ Mop-up round, and AIQ stray vacancy round.


Remaining seats after completion of Round 2 will be filled in mop-up and stray vacancy round by MCC in online mode.


The four rounds will only be conducted for AIQ seats having All India character which are contributed by states for 15% UG seats.


• Fresh candidates will only be allowed in the first three rounds and not in the stray vacancy round.

• Candidates will be given an option for upgradation and free exit only in Round 1

• Candidates who join the allotted seat in Round 1 will not be allowed to resign and will be ineligible for participating in further rounds of counseling.

• Candidates who do not join the allotted seat in Round 2 will be eligible for further rounds of counselling by paying a security deposit and fresh registration in mop-up round only.


NEET 2021 AIQ Counselling process includes-


• Candidates to register themselves on official website of MCC- Medical counseling Committee-

• Fee payment- Rs 1000 is to be paid by unreserved category candidates while For SC/ ST/ OBC/ PH candidates, registration fees is Rs 500.

• Choice filling of colleges candidate wishes to get admission in

• Finally seat allotment based on NEET scores, reservation criteria, and the number of seats.

A security deposit of-

• For Central Universities and 15% AIQ- Rs 10,000 by Unreserved category students and Rs 5000 by SC/ST/OBC category candidates.

• For Deemed Universities- Rs 2,00,000

is to be deposited by students which will be refunded.


Following are the documents that will be required during counseling and original documents are to be produced-


• NEET Admit Card

• NEET Scorecard or Rank Letter

• Class 10 certificate and mark sheet (for date of birth)

• Class 12 certificate and mark sheet

• ID proof (Aadhar/PAN Card/ Driving License/Passport)

• Eight passport size photographs

• Provisional Allotment Letter

• Caste Certificate (if applicable)

• PwD Certificate (if applicable)


Following are the reservation that are given to the candidates of various categories-


• 10% seat reservation for GEN-EWS candidates, (candidates whose family income is less than Rs 8 Lakh per annum)

• 15% seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste(SC) Students.

• 7.5% seats are reserved for Scheduled Tribe (ST) students.

• 27% seats are reserved for OBC-NCL candidates only in colleges run by central government.

• 5% of seats are reserved for Person with Disability PwD. This is a horizontal reservation which means that 5% of all seats reserved for various categories are reserved for candidates with disability from that category.

Many students with disability appear for NEET Examination and after qualifying it study MBBS degree.


If you qualify as a PwD(Person with Disability) candidate then there is certain reservation for candidates with PwD in Medical Colleges through NEET.


--------- The verification or the assessment of the disability will be done in the verification process if you disability is legit and if you qualify for reservation.

• 5% of seats are reserved for Person with Disability PwD. This is a horizontal reservation which means that 5% of all seats reserved for various categories are reserved for candidates with disability from that category


------- Following is the criteria for availing the PwD reservation-


• Minimum degree of disability should 40% or more to avail Pwd quota.

• The degree of disability should be checked or assessed as per the guidelines set by the Govt.

• Must hold a “Certificate of Disability”.

• Disability certificate should be made from the 12 designated centers by NTA.
