Writing
Hello,
You can practice answer writing for GS or even optional for that matter only if your knowledge base is strong enough, for example you cannot write answer about any topic or say government scheme which you're not well acquainted with, the three important parts of answer writing are introduction, body and conclusion, your handwriting should be decent enough to be read, you can start off by referring previous year question papers regarding this, also what helps is go through toppers answer sheets of previous years, even before starting off your answer writing go through topper answers, how they have presented an answer, what are the points included, and in your opinion what you could have added to fetch more marks, you should contemplate on this issue, reading newspapers help a lot during answer writing as you can add more relevant details, present the answer in more holistic manner, there are various programs by INSIGHTS, CivilDaily, GS SCORE, DrishtiIAS to name a few which help regarding this, you may consider checking out their official website to know more details regarding this, as you make your schedule for UPSC then you can make a specific time period for answer writing, and with daily practice it'll improve, don't expect that you'll be able to write a great answer at first, everybody struggle, trust me, this is same for every aspirant, but you have to be persistent in your efforts, that's the only way to excel.

Nowadays freelancing is a growing field. This field is allowing the people to showcase the skills that they possess and on the same hand earn some money. If you really believe in your skill you can even earn as much as you want.
In this field, you would not get a fixed income at the end of every month but your income depends upon the number of projects that you are getting, the quality of your work done, and whether you are doing your work on time or not. Nowadays some freelancers are even earning above 20LPA. Isn't it huge? It just depends on how well you get their work done. Here is the point which you can keep in mind if you are a beginner and wants to grow in this field, If you are just starting don't overcharge because it will result in losing your client, Be honest with your client, get their work done on time and you have to find your strong point rather than finding more and more work because if you focus on quantity rather than quality, it will result in affect your rating.
Hope this helps.

Hello Aspirant,
See both the professions mentioned by you play different roles and they both have good career opportunities in their own field. So here what matters is your interest like if you are good in teaching and you have interest in teaching then definitely you should go with an assistant professor post but if you like to write content and you have good interest in it then you can also make your good career in the field of content writing.
To make you more clear let me discuss some of the career opportunities for both the fields :-
@Content Writing
>>>>> Freelancer, you can work as a freelancer like you can create your own website or you can start your own blog and post the content of any particular niche.
>>>>> Content development specialist who works on the trending topics and create content strategies to promote their content.
>>>>> Web content manager like you can work for SEO of websites and can get paid for them with very decent amount.
@Assistant professor
After being an assistant professor you got an only option that is to teach in the colleges/universities and where after promotion you will get higher posts like of professor.
So in broad prospect, content writing is the field where there is lot of money and there is no any fixed amount because through your content you can generate lot of revenue but being an assistant professor you will be confined in a limited pay but if your interest is in teaching then this profession can also pays you well.
I hope this information helps you.
Good Luck!!
hello Naresh,
According to the current trends environment is a good niche for content writing, though it is not a good niche for freelancers.
As companies hire a full time content writer more often then giving out their projects to a freelancer.
Also environment is an excellent niche to start your own blog. At initial stages this might not fetch you money but once the blog flourishes you will have a good earning.
Hope that answers your question
Best wishes
Hello Naresh,
Yes, you can become a content writer in the niche of your choice.
Its good that you have completed a content writing course whiich will help you standout from others.
Though, before you narrow down to only one niche you need to know these points.
The first and foremost issue you would face in the initial stages is scarcity of clients. So the salary cannot be predict. also as you would be freelancing its upon you as of how much you want to get paid according to your work.
Gradually if you are good at your work you may attract more clients, and also increase your payscale.
Hope that helps you
All the best
Dear Aspirant, a freelancer can take environment as his niche for content writing. A freelancer writing on environment may cover energy, environmental policy, water issues, climate change, environmental justice or new technologies and industry news.
I the beginning he can earn an average of 10,000-15,000 INR per month and later it can increase gradually.
I hope you are clear now. Feel free to ask if you have any other queries. All The Best for your future.
