I have submitted my original intermediate study certificate to my degree college and they didnt give it back. Can I upload the xerox copy for ICET councelling?+

Ayush Madanpotra 10th Sep, 2025

For ICET counselling, most universities and counselling authorities ask for the original certificates during the verification process, not just xerox copies. A photocopy usually will not be accepted unless it is specifically attested and allowed by the counselling authority.

Since you have already submitted your original intermediate study certificate to your degree college, you have two options. The first option is to request your degree college to give you the original back temporarily for counselling and then you can return it later. Colleges usually allow this if you explain that it is required for state-level counselling. The second option is to ask your degree college for a bonafide certificate or a custodian certificate. This certificate states that the original document is kept in the college and confirms its authenticity. Counselling authorities generally accept this in place of the original if it is attested by the principal with the college seal.

You should not rely only on a plain xerox copy, because during verification it will most likely be rejected. It is safer to get either the original or a proper custodian certificate from your college before attending counselling.

i want to submit all my original documents to one institution but i dont want to give my original documents. shell i give color Xerox. they will find easily or not

Prachi Kumari 22nd May, 2025

Hello,

If the institution asks for original documents, giving only colour Xerox copies might not be accepted. Many institutions check originals to make sure documents are real.

Sometimes, they use special marks, paper quality, or even verify with the issuing authority. So, if you don’t want to give originals, you can ask them if colour Xerox copies are enough or if you can show originals for verification and keep copies with them. It’s better to confirm with the institution first.

Hope it helps !

i am a partial dropper ,i have uploaded xerox copy of my 10th certificate in neet registration because my original certificate is taken by the University. will my application get rejected for uploading xerox ?

Mitali Sharma 17th Feb, 2025

Hello

As per NEET's guidelines , you should upload the original documents for verification wherever required.

If you have submitted a Xerox copy ofHope this gives you the clarity you need. your 10th certificate instead of the original, it could lead to complications.

However, since your original certificate is held by the university , it’s best to reach out to NEET’s helpdesk or the conducting body for guidance. You can explain the situation and ask if submitting the Xerox copy will affect your application or if there’s a way to submit the original later.

Hope this gives you the clarity you need.

To discontinue a diploma program in middle of course involves many implications contact the concerned authority in the administration office of your institute to clear the procedure of your leaving if you have health related issues.they may demand penalty or some documents to complete the process.

If you have any doubts about which documents to submit, contact the admissions office of the institution you are applying to for clarification. It is also necessary to contact with the college if they are ok with it.

I lost my intermediate short memo and I have only xerox copies of it but I have my long memo with me will there be any problem? is it mandatory to have the short memo? please answer

Deepti Singh 19th Oct, 2024

Hello,

If you have lost the intermediate short memo but still have the long memo, do not worry because, in most cases, the long memo contains your marks and certification. Most institutions and verification processes will, therefore, accept the long memo as proof of your results in that intermediate class. However, some universities or boards might ask for both, so it's wise to check the specific requirements of the university you are applying to.

If required, you can obtain a duplicate short memo from your board of education. Normally, the process involves an application accompanied by an application fee. For this reason, it's wise that you keep all copies of your educational documents and, when possible, have the original short memo reissued in case complications arise in the future.

does self attested photocopy should be on colour or black and white xerox

Prachi Kumari 13th Aug, 2024

Hello,

Self-attested photocopies can be either in color or black and white, depending on the requirements of the institution or authority requesting them. Generally, black and white copies are often sufficient, but some institutions may require color copies to ensure clarity and accuracy, especially for documents with colored seals or signatures. It’s always a good idea to check the specific guidelines provided by the organization or authority to make sure you meet their requirements.

Hope it helps !
