What is cytoplasm and what is zoology

harsh singh 27th Apr, 2025

Cytoplasm :

The cytoplasm is a jelly-like substance found within the cell membrane of all living cells. It is composed of water, salts, proteins, and other molecules. The cytoplasm plays a key role in maintaining the cell's shape, supporting organelles, and facilitating the movement of materials within the cell. It consists of two main parts:

Cytosol: The liquid portion of the cytoplasm.

Organelles: Structures like mitochondria, ribosomes, and the endoplasmic reticulum.

Zoology :

Zoology is the branch of biology that focuses on the study of animals, including their structure, physiology, behavior, evolution, and classification. It encompasses a wide range of topics such as animal anatomy, ecology, evolution, and conservation. Zoologists study both invertebrates (like insects and worms) and vertebrates (like mammals, birds, and reptiles).
