In Himachal Pradesh, there are a few government jobs that can be obtained without a written exam, through direct recruitment procedures, such as:

1. Recruitment on Merit: Some Group C and D positions are recruited through a candidate's marks in their 10th, 12th, or graduation studies.
2. Contractual/Outsourcing Basis Jobs: For example, some departments hire through outsourcing agencies or on a contractual basis. You must keep an eye on the notices etc. on the HP Govt Official Portal.
3. Skill Based Posts: For example, positions such as drivers, cooks and support roles may have a skills test or interview in lieu of a written test, in which case the applicant may not have to prepare for a written examination.
4. Sports or Cultural Quota: There are special quotas for candidates from national/state-players competing in sports or cultural events, which may allow candidates to not have to take the written exam.
5. Compassionate Installments: Compassionate appointments are only offered to the dependents of deceased government workers, according to government policy.

• SRM Ramapuram : Good brand value for placement opportunities - placement is the most positive area for the university. Ramapuram is a smaller campus and typically, has more of an industry focus compared to the Kattankulathur campus.
• LPU Jalandhar: Modern campus with national diversity, they boast good placements in CSE/IT, moderate ECE, and not as core focused. Fees are heavier than your other options and Jalandhar is also more distance from Tamil Nadu.
• Rajalakshmi Engineering College (REC) : Good name in Tamil Nadu as a part of Anna University. More geared to ECE core learning with affordable fees, better placement at the local level, and less distance.  Probably represents a more stable option for you if you are likely to be TNEA based and expect a long-term outcome.

If you value core ECE, want to be in Tamil Nadu, then Rajalakshmi Engineering College is a solid options. If however, you have an interest in attending a private university with more academics that are flexible and prepared to relocate: SRM Ramapuram is also an option.

Yes , you are eligible for NIFT - UG 2026 . Based on your birthdate , you will be 19 years old as of August 1 , 2026 , which is well within the age limit .
NIFT requires applicants to be under 24 years of age on August 1 of the admission year , with a 5 year relaxation for SC/ST/PwD candidates .

For NID DAT 2026, your eligibility is established based on your born date as you are born on or after July 1st 2005. For UCEED 2026, your eligibility is dependent on your born date by category. You are eligible if you are OPEN/EWS/OBC-NCL category and born on or after October 1, 2001. If you are SC/ST/PwD category you must be born on or after October 1, 1996 in order to be eligible. Based on your born date of December 20th, 2006 for both NID DAT 2026 and UCEED 2026; you will be eligible.

Yes, with a CUET score of 319, you may qualify for a few paramedical courses in either central or state universities. These may also be in non-premier universities, which have a lower CUET cutoff and/or place less emphasis on CUET scores in their admission decisions. Many courses are determined by college-specific cutoffs based on the 'normal' national PG medical cutoffs used by most medical schools. If English or any other language subject wasn't taken, it might limit your choices a little bit, but most paramedical courses are more concerned with the Science subjects (like Biology, Chemistry, Physics). Check the eligibility criteria of the university or college you're applying for.

Based on your CUET score of 240.67/400 in Biology and English, you have a fair chance, but it all depends on the cut off trend, category and number of applicants. Based on previous years, the cut off for general category has generally been around 250-280 marks. So if you fall under OBC/SC/ST you might have higher chances.
