With an EWS category rank of 31,875, securing Computer Science Engineering (CSE) at IET Lucknow is, frankly, highly competitive. CSE stands as one of the most preferred branches, and IET Lucknow consistently ranks among the top institutions under AKTU. Historically, the closing ranks for EWS candidates in CSE at IET Lucknow have typically been much lower generally within the 5,000 to 8,000 range, though this can fluctuate depending on the year’s seat matrix and cutoff trends.
That being said, you still have some viable options:
- Monitor the spot round counselling process closely; sometimes, cutoffs do decrease if seats remain vacant after earlier rounds.
- Consider related branches such as Information Technology (IT), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), or Electrical Engineering (EE) at IET Lucknow, where the cutoff ranks may be slightly more accessible.
- Additionally, explore other reputable AKTU-affiliated colleges such as KNIT Sultanpur or BIET Jhansi, which may offer CSE or comparable programs within your rank range.

With a 29,000 rank in AP EAMCET under BC-B category, getting into CSE or ECE at Sri Venkateswara University (SVUCE) is unlikely, as those branches typically require much better ranks.
However, you have a strong chance for Mechanical Engineering there. In past years, the BC-B closing rank for Mechanical at SVUCE was around 83,000. You may also have a chance for EEE or Civil engineering.
If you need help with filling your choices during counselling or want to look at other colleges, just let me know.
