i got 62%in overall subjects nd 66.25%in best four from NIOS Board can i take addmision in Du colleges for BSc.HonsMicrobiology

prerna vats 23rd Aug, 2020

Hello  dear  student!

Cut off of Delhi University changes every year and it also depends on the course as well category you belongs to. For microbiology course, with this much percentage it is almost impossible  for you to get admission  in Delhi University if you  belongs to unreserved  category. But if you belongs to any reserved category, then there are chances (still very less) that you get enrolled in some less famous colleges of Delhi University.  Meanwhile,  you can apply via sports quota if you're  eligible  for it, then also the chances increases a bit.

hope this will help you

Hello,
As you want to pursue B.tech in Aeronautical Engineering, you need to opt for Science stream in your class 11 and 12. You need to go for PCM. You can also for biology or computer science along with PCM but opting for Computer Science would be much more beneficial for you as you will go for engineering.
Aeronautical engineers have a wide range of opportunities to choose from in terms of job opportunities such as Maintenance engineer, Design engineer, management in charge, mechanical engineer etc.
For getting admission into engineering, you need to prepare for exams such as IIT JEE Mains, JEE Advanced, BITSAT, VITEEE, KIITEE and other state level engineering exams.

sir I want to become an ias but I have went to engineering which group is best for my future ias exams

Pavithra Ganesan 23rd Aug, 2020

Hello!

The UPSC exam has three phases - Prelims, Mains and a Personal Interview.

1) Prelims:

This has two papers - General Studies and an Aptitude Test. General Studies includes questions from a vast assortment of topics including Science and Technology, History, Geography, Economy, etc. The Aptitude Test includes reasoning questions and reading comprehension.

2) Mains:

Once you've cleared your Prelims, you can go forward and write your Mains. This has 7 papers plus 2 qualifying papers. From the 7 papers, two are optional subject papers, which can be chosen from a list of subjects.

The optional subjects include Electrical, Mechanical and Civil Engineering, each having a success rate of 5.4, 5.2 and 3.9 percentage respectively. However, you can also select other non-engineering subjects from the list and choose according to your strength or preference.

3) Personal Interview:

Once you clear your Mains test, you'll be called for a personal interview, based on which your selection will take place.

So to answer your question, in case you're planning on selecting any of the engineering subjects at your Mains stage, you can go for Electrical, Mechanical or Civil engineering for your UG. Otherwise, you can select any other branch and still write any engineering or non-engineering papers for your optional subjects.

All the best!
