i get 41 marks in bio and in phy and che i get 60 above i belong to obc category i am eligible for neet plz help me

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 14th Jul, 2020

Hello

With 41 marks in biology  (practical +theory ) , have you passed theory exam , I am afraid you have not .

Nevertheless,

Neet eligibility  criteria says that,
to be eligible  you must have passed your 12th with English and PCB ( pass in both the theory and practical )  with at least 50 % in aggregate of PCB ( in theory +practical) in 12th  examination  if you belong to general category or at least 40% in aggregate of PCB if belongs to Obc/ Sc /st.

So , if you fulfil this criteria then yes you are eligible for Neet examination otherwise not

For detailed information about neet examination go through our page for which link is provided below; -

negative marking is also there?

Hrisheekesh Singh 14th Jul, 2020

Hi Prathana,

I think you forgot to mentioned the name of Exam, you are referring to.

No worries, you can open Careers360 App or website, then search the name of Exam for which you wanted to know about. You will get everything related from Exam ranging from Important Dated to Sample papers or Syllabus.

Seeing that you are an engineering aspirant, I think you are enquiring about JEE Mains. In JEE Mains, there is a negative marking as 1 mark is deducted to wrong answer and 4 marks are awarded for correct answer.

Refer here for more info - https://engineering.careers360.com/exams

Feel free to ask doubts in the Comment Section.

I hope this information helps you.

Good Luck!

Eligibility criteria for WBJEE is 45% but i am not clear that it is 45% in 12th or 45% in PCM subjects only Also eligibility criteria for Jadhavpur University is 60% which takes Admission through WBJEE (but eligibility criteria for WBJEE is 45% then why 60% for Jadhavpur and other govt colleges ?)

aakarsh.rishu6789 14th Jul, 2020
Hey Nilabh,

Hope you're well in this current situation, To get admission in colleges of West Bengal you have to score aggregate of 45% in your 12th boards.

Jadhavpur is one of the prominent institute of West Bengal and there seats are limited, this is the reason that there eligibility criteria is different from other colleges. You can also apply for some other private colleges in your state or other states with this percentage.

While updating marks in du application form there was no any selection of subjects for best four subjects. So when i add physical education my percentage is 88.75(after deduction) but if i dont it is 87. So which one percentage will be selected by du?

prerna vats 23rd Aug, 2020

Hello dear student!

If you are asking about the percentage of marks DU will count as per cut off, then , the procedure is different for different courses. For most of the humanities and commerce courses, the marks considered are the percentage of best four. It is unrelatable to the other remaining subjects even if you've  entered it's  marks while  filling up the form. For most science courses, main 3 subjects's marks are usually counted. So check the procedure of the course you want to opt on the official site of Delhi University.

is iit Madras degree worth it and what are the uses of it

Trisha Bhattacharyya 23rd Aug, 2020

If you are looking forward to getting your UG or PG degree, then the answer to your question is YES. An IIT Madras degree is worth it, undoubtedly.

According to the 2020 NIRF Rankings, IIT Madras topped the list. However, most consider IIT Bombay to have greater brand value but that doesn't mean IIT Madras is any far behind. Every year companies such as Microsoft, Uber (US), Micron Tech (Singapore) & Rubrik Inc (US)  provide placements to the students. Moreover it has top-notch faculty and infrastructure.

In short, if you ask whether the degree is worth it or not, I'll give you a small example- Most people won't even bat an eye if you graduate from any private engineering college with an average GPA, but if it is IIT Madras or any other IIT for the matter your life in the corporate world automatically becomes easier. So if you are willing to get into IIT Madras, go for it.

Wishing you all the success in life.
