I got 86.33 percentile in jan attampt. I am an sc Candidate belong to state assam. can I get admission in nit silchar in cse or ece brance. by both reserved categy and hs can I get seat?

S. Saha Student Expert 23rd Aug, 2020
86.33 percentile means your expected rank would be around 1,18,793. This would be your rank in Common Rank list. Now if the no. Of candidates in Jee Main September Session increases, then your rank would also increase. You can use our college predictor tool to know where you have good chances http://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor Now you belong to any SC category then you can expect Civil Engineering and Electronics and Instrumentation engineering in NIT Silchar under home state quota. Computer Science being one of the most demanded branches, the cutoffs are quite higher, even for home state candidates. As both the sessions are not yet conducted, so we don't have category rank yet. To be more sure about your admission, you can use our Jee Main college predictor tool. You can check last few Years' cutoffs of NIT Silchar here http://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff-for-nit-silchar

sir/ mam ssc cpo 2020 had released notification ,afe limit for this exam will be 25 year and the board of ssc cpo will calculate age for 01 January 2021 .I will be 24.6 years for that date,as i belongs to obc will i have to seek age relaxation or no need seek age relaxation fo this year notification

shruti jha Student Expert 22nd Aug, 2020

Hi,

As you said that from 1st January 2021 you will be around 24.6 years old and the ssc cpo upper limit for appearing in the exam is 25 years, so don't worry you can still appear for this exam without the need of seeking any kind of age relaxation certificate or something like that.

You are still 5 months younger than being a 25 years old candidate.

So, don't worry about it .

Hope this will help you out.

Good luck .

my percentage in pcm is 68.6 , but i have above 60% above in all the three subjects..am i still not elligible for bitsat 2020??

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 14th Jul, 2020

Hello

Sorry , you are not eligible

This is because,

BITSAT eligibility criteria says that:-

To be eligible one must have obtained at least  an aggregate of 75% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/ Biology in class 12 and must have got at least  60% each in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Mathematics.

Now,

Your your aggregate in PCM is only 60 8.6 %, that is less than 75% , also you have not got 60% in each of physics chemistry and mathematics and thus you are not eligible for BITSAT examination

For more information you can visit our page the link for the same is given below

what is the admission cutoff for obc category

Prajakta Parade 19th Jul, 2020

It's not much. If you need around 99.5%+ as a General Candidate to get calls from a particular IIM, you will need around 97/98+ as an OBC. Similarly for grades- you need if you would need around 8.0+ to be safe as a general category, you will need 7.0+ as an OBC.

You cannot take the exam lightly, although it is relaxed for OBCs, in absolute terms it is still quite easy to miss the call. Of course- it ranges- if you are a woman with decent board marks as well as an OBC you might get calls from IIM-K/L/I at <90%ile as well.

i have completed my MBA and had a 6 year work experience, now i want to refine myself and explore more, would it be helpful to go for pgpex after MBA .

Mohit Gupta 15th Jul, 2020

Hii Sushila

It's great to hear that you have a 6 year work experience and you want to refine your career again.

The course you are asking to join is the course made for working professionals who want some changes in their field of work or want to get higher rank profile.

It would be really helpful for you to refine yourself and your career again.

There's no harm in doing this after mba.

It will definitely add value in your resume.

If you can't afford regular college, you can also try the executive course or part time courses.

my question is if some one get 49 marks in chemistry,59 marks in physics and 67 marks in bio. so he or she is eligible for giving NEET exam . or not.

Sharon Rose Student Expert 14th Jul, 2020

Hello,

If these are the marks scored out of 100 in each subjects including practicals and theory then your aggregate percentage in PCB subjects is 59%. To be eligible for NEET a candidate must have passed 10+ with Biology/Biotechnology, Physics, Chemistry and English. Candidates must have scored 50% marks in Biology/Biotechnology, Physics and Chemistry, candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC must have scored 40% marks in Biology/Biotechnology, Physics and Chemistry and for PWD category it is 45% marks. According to the eligibility criteria irrespective of your category you are eligible to appear in NEET.
