what do we need to study to become a business lawyer ? LLB , BBA LLB ,BA LLB

SONDKAR KAUSTUBH DILIP 29th Jun, 2022

Hello Arpan,

When you say you want to become a business lawyer I suppose you mean corporate lawyer.  If you want to become a lawyer in the first place you need to understand 2 things. First, you can do your LLB after your 12th board or after Graduation. If you decide to do your LLB after 12th it will be of 5 years and if you decide to do your LLB after graduation it will be 3 years. BBA LLB, BA LLB are of 5 years. Only LLB which is done after graduation is of 3 years. Now to become a business/corporate lawyer you can pursue either of the 2 options which I have mentioned above. Also there are various fields into which you can specialize as a lawyer one of which is corporate law. If you have made your mind to dive into corporate law you should make yourself well versed in various corporate laws. Also do your internship in a firm or company or a lawyer which specializes in corporate law. There is no such restriction that a 3 year LLB student cannot become a corporate lawyer. All you need is a LLB degree which you can pursue either after your 12th or after your Graduation. There are various entrance exams which you can give after 12th such as CLAT, MH Law CET, etc, and after graduation such as MH Law CET, SLAT, etc.

Hope this helps.

Good Afternoon Arpan!!

Hope you are absolutely fine, as per your query there are many similarities and dissimilarities between Corporate Lawyer and Business Lawyer, for the basic understanding corporate lawyer and business lawyer works on the same issue but in different levels, Business Lawyer handles the interaction between businesses , peoples, costumers and employees whereas Corporate lawyer handles rules and regulations.

Business lawyer examine legal issue, shareholders rights, tax issues, work with your CPA to mitigate tax burdens, Copyrights and Trademarks concerns etc. on the other hand Corporate lawyer manages an organisation's operations, practices, authenticity and prepares contracts etc.

Hope you understood the basic differences between Corporate Lawyers and Business Lawyers.

Now I have to get 180+ marks in jee mains second attempt, if my preparation is not good, then please tell me which chapter should I start with first and which chapters should I do in all three subjects?

Navya Srivastava 29th Jun, 2022
Dear Aspirant
I hope you are doing well. See JEE Mains entrance examination is a exam which changes it's chapter ratio or syllabus ratio every year, it's never a regular pattern so besides searching for chapters analyse yourself that in which topics you are weak and in which topics you are strong in all three subjects. By doing this you will get an idea where you want to focus more and where you don't. The chapters at which you are good enough make them the best in such a way that if any questions comes from that chapter you should score complete marks then focus on the weak ones. Accuracy matters a lot in the JEE Mains examination. So if this suits you then it's the best otherwise try out some YouTube channels and also some websites which will give you an idea what chapters are most important by seeing the previous year trends.
Hope it helps.
All the best!!!
