While if your interest lies in automation, measurement, or control system across different engineering fields, you should go for Control Instrumentation. While, Chemical engineering provides borad and more job opportunities, Control and instrumentation roles may offer higher Starting salary in certain sectors. But the pay between these two heavily depends on institute, company, location, experience and role.
