Hello,
With 86 percentile in MHT CET (General category), you have chances in some good private colleges in Mumbai for CS or IT branch. Some of the colleges you can consider are:
Shah & Anchor Kutchhi Engineering College, Chembur
Vidyalankar Institute of Technology, Wadala
Atharva College of Engineering, Malad
Xavier Institute of Engineering, Mahim
St. Francis Institute of Technology, Borivali
Thakur College of Engineering and Technology, Kandivali
These colleges usually have decent placements and good faculty. You can try for better options in the CAP rounds and also keep spot round in mind.
Hope it helps !
If you have passed your 12th class from Maharashtra Board with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) as main subjects and Mathematics was taken as an optional subject, then failing in Mathematics will not affect your eligibility for PCB group.
Even if you appeared for improvement and failed in Maths, your original marks in PCB subjects will still be valid. Since you are from the general category and your PCB marks are clear, you will be eligible for admission in PCB-based courses like MBBS, BDS, BSc Nursing, etc.
So, there is no problem if you failed in Maths, as long as your PCB subjects are passed.
The Neet cut offs for MBBS admissions are often lower for Kashmiri migrant student then for general category applicants. Depending on the college and year, Kashmiri migrant quotas may see admittance with score between 330 and 380, even though general category cut off for MBBS seats frequently exceed 600. In particular, admissions for Kashmiri migrants were halted at about 360-370 marks in 2022 and 2023 at various colleges in Jammu and Srinagar.
Both colleges are good, but it depends on your interest.
If you are interested in software and IT jobs, then CSE at GSSS Mysore is a better choice. It has good placements, and many top companies visit for CSE.
If you are more interested in core electrical field, then EEE at NIE Mysore is also a good option. NIE has a good reputation, but placements for EEE are not as high as CSE.
So, go for CSE at GSSS Mysore if your focus is on better placements and software-related jobs.
