To answer your query, yes class 12 percentage will affect your admission as well as your placement. The safe option would be to at least score 60 percent in your overall 10,12 and graduation percentage.

• There are some colleges (TAPMI being one of them)  who does have a minimum criteria of 60 percent throughout that is in class 10,12 and graduation. Anything below it(say 59.9%) is not accepted and it will be checked during the document verification process.
• The actual reason for which this check is done is because of the placements. Since due to the economic slowdown, placements in most colleges have taken a hit. To filter out candidates, some companies have their criteria of shortlisting CVs  for summer internships and final placements of 60 percent throughout. So as not to show some negative numbers in the college brochure, these B-Schools are accepting candidates who have 60% throughout their career

But then again, this is the criteria for some of the B-Schools and only for a handful of companies. Most of the companies don’t have such criterias and they only look for work experience, English fluency and certain other factors.

10th and 12th marks don't affect admission on MBA however the admission in MBA you should have 50% in graduation.
very few institutes are there who demands a very good academic record to get admission otherwise they just only concentrate on entrance test marks group discussion  and personal interview.
