Hi Dear,
You have not mentioned the name of the exam you have appeared and hence i am unable to tell you about the exact admission process. Generally institutes releases the list of candidates shortlisted in the merit list who are eligible for admission. The students whose name is not shortlisted cannot proceed further for admission.
