Correct Answer: INR 3,520
Solution : Given: 19 of them spent INR 175 each on their meal. Let the 20th one spend INR $x$. We know that Average = $\frac{\text{Total money spent}}{\text{Total number of students}}$ According to the question, $x=\frac{19×175+x}{20}+19$ ⇒ $x=\frac{3325+x}{20}+19$ ⇒ $x=\frac{3325+x+380}{20}$ ⇒ $x=\frac{3325+x+380}{20}$ ⇒ $19x=3705$ $\therefore x=195$ Total money spent = $19×175+195 =3520$ So, the total money spent by them is INR 3,520. Hence, the correct answer is INR 3,520.
