It depends upon you / your requirement for the college whether you satisfied with it or not because you are studying for yourself not for others. So try to find out by yourself only is it enough for you or not then your heart will surely give you the right answer.

I would like to tell you that the cutoff has not been released.
But following the previous years trend, we can see there is a decline in the cutoff so there is a chance you can clear the cutoff and give JEE Advanced.
But that is just an assumption as the offiicial key has not been released.

Hello Kiransai. 79 marks is not enough to qualify JEE Mains if you are in the general category. Having said that you must wait for the official declaration of the cutoff by NTA. Meanwhile you can check out the previous years cutoff marks from the link below.
