Am doing b.tech 1st yr right now. Am i eligible to write rrb exam

Yes, definitely you can.

You are pursuing first year in engineering and you are conscious about jobs, it's a very nice thing. But if we go through the eligibility criteria than I would recommend you to wait and complete your engineering and after that you secure a place in Indian railways.

I have to say you are aware enough for your career which is good for you. If you really want to get selected through RRB, start your preparation from today without wasting time.
