The admission process to ANM course can be in either of the two ways :

• Firstly, though entrance exams like the JIPMER Nursing Entrance Exam, PIGMER Nursing Entrance Exam, Adesh University Nursing Admission, AIIMS Nursing Entrance Exam, BHU Nursing Entrance Exam, Indian Army Nursing +G.N.M, KMS University Nursing Entrance Exam and NEIGRIHMS Nursing Entrance Exam. These are the top entrance examinations though which you get acquire admission to ANM course.
• Secondly, through direct admission. There are some institutions which grant direct admissions to the ANM course based on the 10+2 performance of the students.
• However, the eligibility criteria for both of these pathways is passing of 10+2 level schooling with a minimum of 50% in the science stream for the unreserved category and a minimum of 45% for the ST, SC category.

Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery in Nursing is a two-year undergraduate certificate-level course in Medical Nursing.
