Dear student
Yeah both are the synonyms fir each other. The respiratory chain, otherwise known as the electron transport chain, resides in the mitochondria. A single molecule of NADH has sufficient energy to generate three ATP molecules from ADP. in both cases ATP formed will be same. The respiratory chain involves four large protein complexes (I–IV) as well as ATP synthase . All of these are embedded in the inner mitochondrial membrane. Coenzyme Q (Q) and cytochrome C (C) are diffusible electron carriers. These all complexes are important for ATP production NADH gives 3 ato and FADH gives 2 ATP after going through the ETS.
Hope this information is helpful
Gud luck !!
