Before answering your question, lets just understand the online and offline mode briefly-

Online mode of exam will be a computer based exam wherein the questions will appear on the screen and the candidate has to choose one out of four options.

Offline mode is simply pen and paper test in which a question paper will be provided and candidates has to darken their answer on the OMR sheet.

Coming to the answer , i feel choosing online and offline mode of exam totally depends on you. To help you in that, i’d like to guide you with some key points.

Since every thing has its own pros and cons, lets just discuss some of them with these advantages and disadvantages of the both the modes.

Candidate tend to choose offline mode of exam because of familiarity with the offline exam pattern because we have been giving test in this mode since very long time.

Also there are no worries about technical glitches like power failures

But online mode of exam is gaining popularity lately, question can be marked for review and answers can be viewed any time and since the answers need to be marked on the compute rather than darkening the circles which makes it less time consuming.

Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics syllabus will be same for both of the offline and online papers of JEE Mains.

All the very best and good luck.

Hello. Thanks for contacting Careers360 and we hope we will be able to answer your query.

Note that JEE Mains syllabus is based on the NCERT / CBSE topics of class 11 and 12. So, the topics that come in the exam are the same because the question paper setters have the same syllabus from which they take the questions.

But, the questions will obviously be different as compared to the offline and online paper. You can take the offline paper from your friends and just use it for practice.

Hope this helps you and all the best!
