NCERT is the prescribed book for NEET, while H.C. Verma is a good advanced level question solving book which you must practice from in order to get through the competitives with good marks.
But as for plain theory reading, I had preferred Bhatanagar or Vivekanandan, along with the Aakash study mats. But please make sure to read from just one book, or else you'll get confused! And after you've read, you can use the others as additional reference and for solving questions.
Resnick-Haliday is also good for advanced level reading if you are interested.
