Hi Dear,

Group Y candidates in Air Force - AFCAT is for non technical candidates. These are candidates recruited for ground duty and not pilot. If you want to go for pilot in Indian air force then you need to have technical background. Following are few ways by which you can become pilot in IAF:


  • National Defence Academy (NDA),
  • Combined Defence Services Exam (CDSE),
  • NCC entry and
  • Short Service Commission Entry (SSC)
