Hello Bingi,
Students can apply for verification of marks/grades within a week from date of declaration of CBSE board exam result. So, you need to decide quickly and apply for verification of marks. The whole process of verification of marks is done online.
This is how anyone can apply -
1. Verification of marks
- All the students can apply for the verification of their CBSE Boards results from June 1 to June 5
- The result of verification will be uploaded on the website of CBSE
- However, in case of a mistake(or change in marks), a formal letter will also be sent to the applicant by speed post through concerned Regional Office of CBSE. In the case where there is no change of marks, no letter will be sent by CBSE. Applicants are advised to visit the website of CBSE for the status of the verification request
- Incomplete applications/offline applications will be summarily rejected
2. Application for obtaining a photocopy of the evaluated answer book:
- The online application for obtaining a photocopy of the evaluated answer sheets can be filed between June 15- 16.
- The application will be received only online through the website of CBSE along with a fee of Rs 500 per subject for Class X and Rs 700 per subject for Class XII
- Photocopy of the evaluated answer book will be provided after blocking all information relating to the identity of the Examiner/Evaluator/any other official associated with the examination process
- The decision of the Competent Authority of the board on the marks awarded shall be final and binding on the candidate.
3. Re-evaluation of evaluated answer book:
- Only those candidates who have applied for obtaining a photocopy of the evaluated answer book shall be eligible to apply for re-evaluation or challenge the marks awarded to any question(s).
- Request for re-evaluation/challenges shall be entertained only for the theory portion
- For this, candidates need to pay Rs 100 per question
- After the photocopy, the students, if not convinced, can still request for revaluation of the answer sheet.
- The applicant will have to refer to the marking scheme in the subject concerned which would be available on the website along with the question paper and then submit an application for re-evaluation in the required question(s) with reasoning.
The re-evaluation process is done by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for those candidates who think that they have not fared well or is unsatisfied with his/her marks or performance.
Good luck!
