Hello,

There is no state of eligibility for All India Quota (15%)! Any candidate who qualifies for AIQ can opt for any medical college in any of the participating states during counselling.

The state of eligibility is for the rest of the 85% state quota seats. These are the seats which come under state counselling which is conducted by state medical authorities. And the state of eligibility will be the one of which you have the Domicile Certificate/Residence Certificate of different states have different criteria for providing Domicile certificate.

Thus to avail the 15% all india quota you could fill any state you like of which you have the 85% quota of..

I hope this would help you. For further queries please feel free to write me down in the comment box.

Hello Prudhvi, you cannot participate in 15% All India Quota seats of the State you belong to. For example, if you belong to UP, you can participate in 85% seats of UP through State Counselling and 15% seats of rest of the States excluding Jammu and Kashmir. This is because Jammu and Kashmir doesnt participate in All India Counselling.

Hello,
It is invalid, you can not take part in your own state colleges through All india Quota.
But even there is no benefit in doing so.
Cutoffs are usually lower through state quota for same colleges.
Also, after admission there is no difference between a student who got admission through All India Quota or state quota.
So, I suggest you to go for All India quota only for other state colleges. For your own state colleges, you can go with state quota.
