Central Board of secondary Education that is CBSE has changed its option for relieving the students who are not interested in doing maths in higher classes. By giving the chances to the students for clearing basic maths in compartment examinations they will be allowed to read basic mathematics . So there is a chance for  the student who do not interested to take maths in higher classes can change standard mathematics to basic mathematics in due course of study after term 2 examination
