Hey Subhra !
I am afraid to say, but it seems your rank would be falling behind in the race to procure a seat in any of the Govt. Medical Colleges of West Bengal with a State  Rank of 2050.
Since you didn't mention about your category, I am assuming it to be UR.
In the year 2018, Maldah Medical College the last opted one had it's closing rank for the UR near to 1350.
Although 500 new seats have been added, but out of that we must remember that nearly 60% would be available for the UR of State Quota making it a total of 300.
Thus, for the UR it would be tough to get a seat with a rank beyond 1700.

Good Luck !

Yes I belong to UR category. Can I secure a seat if I consider the government quota seats of the private college or have you already considered them?
