Probably, 72 marks aren't good enough for getting admission into an VIT. If u've given other examinations like COMEDK, VITEEE or other state board exams, then they can offer you a variety of good colleges. As answered above, nowadays skills are something which matters the most. But if you are really ambitious for IIT or NIT, then you can always take a drop and go for the best. 

Hey there Hemant kumar, I would like to bring this to you notice that Vishwakarma Institute of Technology Pune seems a far off call with this percentile as the cutoff for CSE hovered around 2017 last year. There maybe a chance with your category rank but to provide information there I would require your category rank.
