The admission is done through a process called the Lateral Entry Scheme. The eligibility condition for the same is as follows:

The candidates seeking admission through this scheme should have completed the State Diploma Course of 3 years and should have secured an aggregate of 60% marks aggregate (50% for SC/ST and 55% for OBC).

Depending on the aggregate percentage you hacve secured in your diploma course, you will be shortlisted and then called for counselling. Also, if admitted you will directly start off from the second year of Engineering!
