If you’ve scored 67 percentile in JEE Main, getting admission into a government engineering college can be quite tough, especially for high-demand branches like Computer Science or Electronics in top NITs or IIITs.
With this percentile, your Common Rank List rank might be around 4.5 to 5 lakh or even higher, depending on the number of candidates and session difficulty. For General category, it’s very unlikely to get any NIT, IIIT, or GFTI at this percentile.
However, if you belong to a reserved category like SC, ST, or OBC, and you’re from a state with lower competition, then you might have a chance at some state-level government engineering colleges through home state quota, especially in less competitive branches or during the later rounds.
